we are so far from friendly!

The human race is is fucked! We've totally lost the human touch. We don't want to connect anymore—unless it’s to a Wi-Fi network. We hate conversing and try as much as we can to minimize human interactions and sharing.

Everyone is busy or always in a rush. It seems like we all want to keep to ourselves, distancing from people we share this life with. I honestly don't know how this came to be. Coming from a younger generation, I know our parents and grandparents weren’t like this—I definitely blame it on the rise of technology.

We don’t interact as a community like we used to. We don’t even know our neighbor’s name, though we pass each other every single day. We don’t see each other’s value, and most definitely, we don’t appreciate one another like we should. We spend so much time with inanimate devices and allocate less time to bonding and togetherness.

Yes, technology is good and deeply woven into our lives now. But like everything else that has an upside, it also comes with a downside. Ironically, despite its rise, we’re growing more distant from each other. We all have phones, but hesitate to contact a long-lost friend or family member just to catch up. These gadgets are fumbling our chances to connect the old-school way—which shouldn’t be the case.

It’s supposed to be the other way around. It should bring us closer, not push us apart. We humans are social beings. We’re meant to share, talk about our experiences, make jokes, laugh, care, support, and uplift each other—it’s in our nature.

We have the tools to do the necessary, but we choose not to use them, and that sucks. Instead, we stare at screens and ignore the human being next to us. We've lost our way with words—technology did that to us. Men no longer approach women on the streets like in the good old days—and honestly, I don’t blame them. Things are different now. Everything’s done online.

Call me old-fashioned, but even dating and grocery shopping happens online. Wild, right? Could you have imagined that?

The world has advanced so much over the past few decades, it's almost unreal. But with all these changes, we must learn to adapt while also looking back—so we can find better ways to live. We need more soul, more positive energy, and more love to move forward—not the latest iPhone series.

I’m sorry, but that’s the way I see it. So put your stupid phone down, ask a loved one how they’re doing, and check in on their well-being. That’s the first step. From there, we can learn how to move forward—together, with baby steps.
